There’s no
shortage of places to shop in Fair Lawn, especially if you’re trying
to get an unusual gift. And River Road is an attractive, convenient
place to get many things done at once.
From Amber Cycle,
to Rivara's Taste of Broadway, 6-18 Maple Ave., there are wonderful
things to buy and great things to eat.
For the athlete
on your list, see Amber Cycle, 11-02 River Rd. (RR), 201-797-5600, for
their Mountain Bike sale. B&B International Foods, 12-17 River Road,
201-794-0115, may have that special Russian wine or tasty cookie your
Grandma Tillie likes.
Joker's Child, 12-23
River Road, 201-794-6830, has items as diverse as a Howard Stern Fan
Guide book to an Abominable Snow Monster doll (see photo below) from
the "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" original movie.
My Best Friend,
a grooming salon and pet boutique, 12-50 River Road, 201-796-0296, has
great holiday items for that special pet in your life. In addition to
in depth knowledge about cats and dogs, you can pay a friendly visit
to "Mingo", their resident cream and peach-colored, talking,
four-year old parrot; or their resident, popular kitty, "Blackie".
Fair Lawn Jewelers,
13-14 River Road, 201-796-9485, one of the area's crown jewels, is a
fabulous place to shop for almost any kind of jewelry one can think
of.
A quick walk up
the street and a shopper can stop by The Flower Cart and In Focus Photography
where holiday florals and a photographer's gifts can be purchased.
Another interesting
gift possibility: Eldorado Trading: Russian Books & Gifts. Certainly
worth at least a good browse.
