The winners of the first of four prize giveaways sponsored by the River Road Improvement Corporation have been announced. The giveaways are part of a coupon saver mailed to 12,500 Fair Lawn residents. The purpose of these mailers, and the RRIC in general, is to support and market the River Road businesses and district to families within Fair Lawn.

The first promotion, themed "Fall Fabulous" began August 19 and ended September 22, offered special discounts and announced $1,200 in prizes. The first giveaways and winners are: $500 Gift Certificate from Lazon Paint -William Kaiser; $500 Gift Certificate from Kuken Brothers - Galia Baruch; $100 Gift Certificate from Joker’s Child - Nancy Kurucz and $100 Gift Certificate from Curves For Women – Cynthia Nadel.

Bob Landzettel of Lazon Paints and President of River Road Improvement Corporation wishes to congratulate the winners and thanks all those who participated in the program and entered the contest.

The second promotion has begun and will end October 20. This "Fall Frenzy" promotion offers $1,000 in giveaways. Residents of Fair Lawn are encouraged to visit the participating advertisers and sponsors and enter to win great prizes and take advantage of the many special offers found only in this coupon saver.

"This is the first time we've participated and both my customers and I have really enjoyed this promotion. I am glad to be part of River Road and look forward to participating in other events to improve the district," says Felix Belferman, owner of B&B International Foods.

Our goal is to prepare the River Road Special Improvement District (SID) for better business by sponsoring appearance upgrades, maintenance efforts, and traffic flow improvements throughout the commercial district. Parking issues, banners and signage, and ongoing special events are all a part of keeping our community an accessible and attractive place.

We invite business owners and residents alike to participate in River Road projects such as promotional and community-oriented events. The next promotional mailing will come during the Holiday season.
