Mayor Lisa Swain cut the ceremonial ribbon at the recent grand opening of Fisher’s Café at 7-07 Fair Lawn Avenue. Joined by representatives of the River Road Improvement Corporation (RRIC), Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce and Fair Lawn Economic Development Corporation (FLEDC), along with family, friends and well-wishers, Mayor Swain presented owners Alex Reyes and Ramon Sierra with a framed proclamation from the borough.
“We are very fortunate to welcome another new business in Fair Lawn,” noted Mayor Swain.” We now have many restaurants with a variety of menus and different price points to serve a diverse community. With Fisher’s Cafe located in the River Road District, it is an easy walk from surrounding businesses allowing customers to leave their cars behind.”
Reyes and Sierra have opened several cafes together in their careers in the food industry, and currently operate another Fisher’s Café in Hasbrouck Heights. In fact, several loyal customers from the Hasbrouck Heights location traveled to Fair Lawn to show their support at the grand opening.
The partners found out about the convenient location on Fair Lawn Avenue from friends familiar with the area. They have put a lot of time and effort into sprucing up the café’s interior that features comfortable booths, tables and counter seating. Both have been impressed with and appreciative of the support and welcome they have received in Fair Lawn.
Breakfast, including eggs, omelets, pancakes, French toast and more, is served all day at Fisher’s Café. The lunch menu, including hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, paninis, wraps and salads, adds to the expansive offerings prepared with the freshest ingredients. Everything is homemade and served with pride plus a friendly smile. Takeout is also available, and you can follow Fisher’s Café on Facebook.
“Everyone raves about the omelets,” said Doris Lopez of New Milford, a longtime friend of the owners. “All the food is so beautifully presented and delicious,” she added.
“This latest business opening offers continued evidence that River Road is a family friendly neighborhood commercial district serving the families of Fair Lawn,” noted Don Smartt, the administrator of the area’s special improvement district, advocates for strengthening River Road since 1992.
