The
River Road facility is a three-story building and acts
as a gateway to Fair Lawn. The first building was opened
in 1999 and a second building opened in October 2003.
At that time the company modernized the storage offices
to include packaging supplies for one-stop shopping experience
for customers on the move.
To
Lackland Self Storage, the concept of serving the community
extends beyond its regular business hours. The company
annually donates to Fair Lawn community organizations,
i.e.: Fair Lawn Rescue Squad Association and Mary Ann
Collura Scholarship Fund. In coordination with the Office
of Emergency Management & Department of Health &
Human Services, the company has provided free use of storage
space to two families who were victims of fire.
At present, the company serves as a drop-off point for
the Chamber of Commerce Adopt-A-Platoon program. It is
for all these works that New Jersey Monthly Magazine and
its sponsors nominated the company for New Jersey Family
Business of the Year award in 2003.
The
River Road facility's managers and storage consultants
are husband and wife, Jose and Mila Acuna. The Acuna's
and their two children have been living in Fair Lawn for
two years and their children attend Fair Lawn High School.
Lackland
Self Storage recognizes that being in the River Road District
gives its residential and commercial customers a direct
and convenient access to their facility. Jose and
Mila believe that the successful growth of the company
is due to its great security features, clean & quality
facility, good accessibility at River Road, and good customer
service.
