George
is formerly known as Professor Fleck to students at City
University in New York City where he taught speech, communications
and theatre arts for 22 years before retiring. Sharon
, a corporate executive became interested in the Curves
franchise after she became a member of one. Together,
they have experience in other home based businesses.
The
River Road Curves for Women has over 600 members who also
enjoy the fitness center as a social activity while they
workout. Mr. Fleck says there are over 7,500 Curves franchises
across the country and in New Jersey one cannot open a
new franchise. Curves is located in ten different countries
with further expansions planned. This gives Curves' members
the opportunity to workout at any of the franchises while
they are vacationing at no additional cost.
As
many other River Road District business owners, the Flecks
were drawn to the diversity of Fair Lawn 's population.
The friendly neighbors and adequate parking in the George
Street lot made selection of River Road District most
attractive.
Although
they don't have family in Fair Lawn Sharon and George appreciate
the friendliness of fellow merchants and residents.
