Douglas Scozzari is the owner of Douglas Robert Salon, which has been in continuous operation on River Road since 1978.
Having been in town for 28 years, Douglas and his staff have many clients — men, women, and children — of long standing. They hail from
surrounding
towns in Passaic and Bergen County as well as from locations as far away as Pennsylvania and Colorado — clients who make
it a point to visit their
favorite salon when they’re in Fair Lawn.
Douglas Robert Salon, with its staff of 8 stylists, a manicurist, and several other valued assistants, provides professional beauty care in a
friendly, relaxed environment, using such well-known products as Redken, Paul Mitchell, Rusk, L’Oreal, and Scruples. Services include
hair coloring and styling, nail care,
and waxing, as well as Japanese hair straightening. Wedding stylings and updo’s for proms and other
formal occasions are also in great demand.
“I chose Fair Lawn in 1978 because there were (then) not a lot of salons in Fair Lawn. I liked the River Road area because of the traffic,
location, and
good parking behind my store,” said Douglas. “I also like to do business with my neighbors and feel that I have a nice
neighborhood to shop and do
business with other storeowners.”
Douglas was a recent recipient of the RRIC’s Sign & Awning Grant, installing an attractive new awning to welcome both old and new clients.
He is enthusiastic about the continued growth of the River Road District.
