RRIC Providing More Than 5,000 Reasons to Shop Fair Lawn's River Road District 

370 Winners to Share $5500 in District Dollars Gift Certificates 

April 14, 2009, Fair Lawn, NJ - The River Road Improvement Corporation (RRIC) is offering $5500 in gift certificates in an expanded new program, funded by business and commercial property owners in Fair Lawn's River Road District, designed to encourage spending close to home. On May 1 st , 370 winners, including 20 $50 winners, 100 $20 winners and 250 $10 winners, will be awarded gift certificates to spend in the River Road District's businesses and restaurants by June 30, 2009. The RRIC will reimburse the District's businesses and restaurants for gift certificates used by customers to make purchases.

"On April 1 st , the River Road Improvement Corporation announced that we'd be giving away $500 in River Road District Dollars Gift Certificates meant to be used to help stimulate the District's economy," said RRIC President Robert Landzettel. "At the time, we promised that more help for local shoppers and businesses was coming. Because of the enormous interest in the first announcement, we're speeding up our timetable and will be injecting an additional $5,000 into the gift certificate program."

The goal of the program is simple, Landzettel added - stimulate spending in the River Road District by being proactive and leveraging the investment of the District's business and commercial property owners to benefit the community at large. That's why the program is structured to provide lots of winners. "Local spending works," Landzettel concluded.

Consumers are invited to visit the RRIC web site ( FairLawnRiverRoad.com ) to enter online, to drop off an entry form at any one of three River Road District bank branch locations, Columbia Bank, 14-01 River Road, Community Bank of Bergen County, 12-79 River Road, TD Bank, 16-00 River Road , or mail an entry form to the RRIC (PO Box 1296, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410) to register to win gift certificates redeemable only at River Road District businesses and restaurants.

Entries must be received by April 30, 2009. The winners will be drawn on May 1, 2009 and the gift certificates must be redeemed by June 30, 2009. No purchase is necessary, and you must be 18 years or older to enter. One winner per household.
